*From 6 April 2015, the surviving spouse or civil partner is allowed to invest an additional amount in their own ISA equivalent to the value of that deceased saver’s ISA’s.
From 6th April 2016, the government introduced flexible ISAs whereby amounts withdrawn during a tax year are not deducted from the investment limit.
A new “Help to Buy” ISA scheme, launched on 1st December 2015, helps new first-time buyers with the government topping up £50 for every £200 the first-time buyer saves up to a maximum of £3,000 top up for a £12,000 saving.
